Who Are We and Where Are We Going Next?
Welcome to our Earth’s Daughter blog! We’re excited to use this space to share thoughts, ideas, and information with you. For this first post, though, we’d like to tell you a little more about who we are, why we’re here and answer the question: where are we going next?
Who Are We?
We could say that Earth’s Daughter is us, John and Esther, but in reality it’s so much more than that. Earth’s Daughter is anyone who cares about the world and about the products they choose for their family. It’s people who want to give back and support their friends, neighbors, and community. It’s people who are discerning about their personal care products, who are looking to keep their lives a little more natural. It’s people just like you.
When we started building Earth’s Daughter, we wanted to solve a problem. Since our child was born we found that it was nearly impossible to find products that were both good for kids and easy on the wallet. So we decided to create them ourselves! We didn’t have the same sort of backing that larger companies have, though, and we still had our 9 to 5 jobs. In short, it hasn’t always been easy, but it’s something we’re passionate about.
At the moment, we have two products: our natural aloe vera gel and our Nature’s Blender blending sponges. We’re proud of what we have to offer and we’re excited about building our line, but for us that’s not really what it’s all about.
The Heart of Earth’s Daughter
While we’re passionate about providing safe, natural personal care items, there’s much more to Earth’s Daughter than our products. The heart of our company is in helping those around us who need it the most.
Have you ever seen someone in need and wished you could help? We know we have. The world is full of people who need a little extra support to live their best lives possible. Our goal is to offer that support in any way we can. When we decided to create Earth’s Daughter, we also decided that helping others should be at the core of our mission. That’s why at least 5% of all of our profits go to deserving charities.
To be honest, we weren’t quite sure what would come from this decision, but we’ve been thrilled and humbled by the response. Through their purchases, our customers have helped a huge variety of deserving causes. Together we’ve helped support the Humans Rights Walk, a children’s museum, several churches, and much more.
And the best part is we’re just getting started.
We couldn’t be more amazed and humbled by the support of all of our amazing customers. Thanks to you, Earth’s Daughters future is looking bright. We’ve got some big ideas coming up, and we’re so excited to keep giving back to the world we love so much.
We’re So Happy to Be Here
Building a business from the ground up is tough, and we’ve had to make some sacrifices to get here. We couldn’t have done it without the support of our customers and without each other. As we continue to build, we’ll be looking for new ways to give back. We’re always looking for new causes to support, so don’t be afraid to let us know if you have any ideas!
